Governor vetos bill that would affect school construciton

Gov. Brian Sandoval vetoed a bill at the end of May that would have reversed changes to prevailing wage legislation passed by the Republican-led statehouse during the 2015 legislative session.

Kansas City, Missouri-based VanTrust, a full-service real estate development company, announced in May that construction had begun on a more than 191,000-square-foot industrial building in North Las Vegas near Lamb Boulevard and Interstate 15. More than 2.2 million square feet of industrial space has already been completed at the site.

Home prices rise at the end of the first quarter of 2017

Home prices in Southern Nevada had a good first quarter in 2017, with median prices rising in each of the first three months of the year, according to data from the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.
